Otways Accommodation: The Fine Print
CAPE OTWAY COTTAGES BOOKING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to recent isolated instances of very poor conduct by guests, we have been forced to ensure that all guests are now made fully aware of our Booking Conditions upon their arrival, as well as being previously informed of these provisions through our Brochure Package and Web Site.
All bookings are taken subject to acceptance on the Terms and Conditions below.
- ARRIVAL is anytime after 4pm. DEPARTURE is strictly by 11am.
- Tentative Bookings can be held for ONE WEEK, after which a 50% DEPOSIT is required to confirm your reservation.
A deposit may be required at the time a booking is made for short notice bookings.
- Payment in Full is required 14 DAYS in advance for all bookings, unless alternative arrangements have been made with management.
- If for any reason the payment is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply appropriate cancellation charges.
- **A Minimum Booking of ONE WEEK applies to CHRISTMAS/JANUARY School Holidays. Payment in Full is required 30 DAYS prior to arrival.
- A $50 Cancellation/Administration Fee applies to ALL cancelled bookings.
- A credit card number is required for damage/security purposes. Cape Otway Cottages is authorized to deduct monies to cover the cost of additional/excess cleaning, damages, repairs, replacement of goods, late departures or any other breaches of these terms and conditions. This includes leaving unwashed dishes & smoking inside.
- Any Additional Fees will be charged to guests’ Credit Card facilities upon their departure.
- Accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy manner removing all rubbish, bottles, food and personal items.
- ALL COTTAGES ARE NON-SMOKING A fee of up to $250 applies to smoking inside the cottages. This charge covers the costs associated with removing cigarette smoke from soft furnishings, carpets, bedding etc.
- If a Credit Card is not available then a Bond may be required as security. This can be paid by Cheque, Money Order or Bank Transfer prior to arrival.
- We reserve the right to substitute accommodation units if necessary.
- Cape Otway Cottages will accept no responsibility for any inconvenience with machinery breakdown. Cape Otway Cottages best endeavours to repair or replace will be undertaken.
- DOG OWNERS PLEASE NOTE
- Dog owners are fully responsible for the picking up droppings around the cottages and any damage caused to the property by their dog/s.
- Dogs are not permitted on any furniture unless fully covered with the sheet provided. More sheets can be provided upon request.
- Dogs are not to be left unattended inside at any time unless authorised by management.
- Additional charges apply for excessive dog hair, muddy dog footprints/marks on human bed linen & furniture, dog urine stains, damage to screen doors and picking up droppings on mowed area.
- A $25 charge applies to dog poo not being picked up prior to departure.
- STANDARD INDUSTRY CANCELLATION FEES APPLY TO ALL BOOKINGS
21-60 DAYS PRIOR TO BOOKING DATE - 50% OF DEPOSIT. UP TO 21 DAYS PRIOR TO BOOKING DATE - 100% OF DEPOSIT. WITHIN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND THEREAFTER -100% OF TOTAL PRICE. A CANCELLATION FEE OF 100% of TOTAL PRICE APPLIES 30 DAYS PRIOR TO CHRISTMAS/JANUARY & EASTER/APRIL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AND TO PUBLIC HOLIDAY WEEKENDS.
- These Fees will not apply if accommodation is re-booked to another party, however the $50 Cancellation Fee still applies.
- Please note that Travel Insurance is recommended, particularly for Weekly bookings.
- ALL TARIFFS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
